These are the Beagles that we acquired from other kennels to start TwainHeart Beagles.

TwainHeart Beagles started with Carson (Applegate's Sam's Son Carson). Working with Carson taught us a lot about the breed and showing. By the time he'd earned 12 points toward his championship, we knew that as much as we loved him, he was not the quality of dog we wanted to breed. So we had him neutered and he became the first pampered pet at TwainHeart. Carson died in May 2000. We miss him. |

Chance (CH. Applegate's Irresistible Chance) was our first champion, completely owner-handled. A beautiful puppy, he finished at 8 months of age but then grew too tall to continue showing. He was only bred twice: once by design and once, it was his own idea. The first breeding gave us Chancette who earned her championship and produced two champions of her own. His last breeding produced the charming Kendall who is a pet in Boise. Chance enjoyed his golden years in the Seattle area with Mary and has now crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. |

Chancette (CH. Applegate's Best Wishs TwainHeart) is the daughter of our first champion, Chance. Her curious and active personality gets her into a lot of trouble, but it's hard to stay mad at her for very long when she attacks you with kisses. She is one of the resident house dogs at TwainHeart and the mother of two champions. |

Misty (CH. Starcrest's Mystikl Miz TwainHart) is a sweet girl with a very mellow personality. She has retired from having puppies and relocated to a pet home, first in Port Townsend, WA and then in Arizona. She lives with several other Beagles and two Tibetan Mastiffs. Misty produced our second home-bred champion, CH. TwainHeart's Hollywood Pizzazz (Holly). |

Pepper (CH. Daf-I-Dale's Peppermint Patti) is the mother of our first home-bred champion, CH. TwainHeart's Chazzmatazz, and the mother of our only 13" champion, Am/Can. CH. TwainHeart's Pearl of Mazatlan (Margo). Pepper has several offspring who are living as pampered pets in homes from Texas to Alberta. Pepper has joined the ranks of pampered pets and is now living with a family in Tuscon, AZ. |

Connie (Am/Can. CH. Daf-I-Dale's Going Concern) was the matron in our kennel, but you'd never know it from her energy level. She was like the Eveready Bunny - she just kept going and going. Connie lived the last several years of her life with Mary in the Seattle area where she frequently visited her daughters Crescent and Gracie (CH. TwainHeart's Savannah Grace) in Bellevue. Connie has now crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. |

Buffet (CH. DreamsOf Pirate Looks at Forty) was a year-old champion when he arrived at TwainHeart from the Dreams Come True kennels in North Carolina. Within two months he'd won a group placement, a first for us. He won Best Stud Dog in Show at the Inaugural Columbia-Willamette Beagle Specialty in Portland, Oregon. He has sired 5 champions. Buffet retired to live with a family in Vancouver, WA. He is now passed over the Rainbow Bridge where he waits patiently for his owners to join him. |

Farrah (Am/Can. CH. Jackpot Fanfare at TwainHeart) came to us from Jackpot Hounds, originally in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and now in Duluth, GA. Farrah is a very sweet girl who produced our only red and white Beagle, CH. TwainHeart's Boulder than Brass (Copper). Farrah is now a pampered pet who lives in Georgia. |

Dreamer (Am/Can. CH. Jackpot TwainHeart Imagine That) also came to us from Jackpot Hounds. He was very athletic and sired some nice puppies for us, including our first performance champion, TwainHeart's La Dolce Diva, NA (Novice Agility), TD (Tracking Dog). Dreamer spent his golden years as a pampered pet living with our brother in Kennewick, WA and has now crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. |
